Pálavská regata

Pálavská Regata, a Czech Cup event for the Optimist, 29er, ILCA 4, ILCA 7, RS Feva, RS Tera, and RS500 classes, took place at the Nové Mlýny Lake on June 6–7. TJ Sailing Pálava was one of the co-organizers of the event.
A total of 173 sailors from the Czech Republic and Slovakia took part in the regatta. Both the racecourse and the shore were busy throughout the weekend, but thanks to the cooperation between the organizing clubs, YC Dyje and TJ Sailing Pálava, the large number of competitors was managed successfully.
The classes were divided between two race areas on the water, but despite this, not all fleets were able to complete the four races required for a discard. Wind arrived only on Sunday, and not until around midday. Nevertheless, all classes managed to complete three races, making the Czech Cup event valid.
The winners are: Jan Čutka in Optimist, Barbora Ottová in ILCA 4, Jan Valenta in ILCA 7, Oliver Brestovský and Tomáš Babinčák in 29er, Šimon Krátký and Matěj Stibůrek in RS Feva, Kamila Vlachová in RS Tera, and Adam Bořek Borkovec together with Matěj Najvárek in RS500.
